First Option Home Finance Pty Ltd has been set up to act as a Mortgage Originator and writer of Home Loan Business. We provide professional service, advice and choice to our clients.

First Option Home Finance is a full member of the Mortgage Industry Association of Australia (MIAA).

We have arrangements with approximately 20 different lenders which provides us with a large range of options and products which can be specifically tailored to our clients needs.

We have also developed a sophisticated software package which allows our mobile lending team to qualify the customer, provide total costings, and give specific loan details from our range of over 250 products in a simplified and professional manner.

As the Lending Institutions provide us with income from the business generated by our Company, we are in a position to offer our clients a totally impartial and fee free service.

Shane has had in excess of 20 years experience in Banking and Finance, having starting his career in 1978 with the Bank of New South Wales, which in turn become Westpac and Bank of Melbourne in 1998.

During that period Shane undertook a variety of roles including Human Resources Management and specialist lending relationship roles. He has also completed his Advanced Certificate in Banking and Finance which enhanced his knowledge and professionalism

In 1999 Shane left the Bank of Melbourne and became involved in Real Estate selling specialising in land subdivisions and house and land packages, after successful obtaining his Authorised Representative Licence through the Real Estate Institute of Victoria.

In October 2000 Shane was responsible for setting up First Option Home Finance and establishing relationships with 20 different lenders in order to provide an unbiased professional choice for home loan clients.

Shane has earned a reputation of delivering exceptional results based on his hard work, enthusiasm and determination as well as building strong relationships with both his clients and business partners.

Shane will be an integral member of the First Option Home Finance Team as it continues to grow and build in the future.

Alan has 26 years experience in Banking and Finance commencing with Commercial Bank of Australia in 1976.

To further his career Alan joined Hotham Permanent Building Society in 1982 as Loans Manager progressing to roles as Branch Manager and Commercial Loans Manager.

Alan joined AV Jennings in 1986 to establish a home mortgage company specialising in Residential Construction Finance which he ran successfully for 4 years before establishing his own business, Finance and Securities Resource in 1991, again specialising in Residential Established and Construction Finance.

He joined ANZ Banking Group in 1994 to manage the mobile home lending force before jointly establishing First Option Home Finance Pty Ltd.

Alan has two children and enjoys playing sports such as cricket, golf, tennis and squash.
